North Carolina-headquartered PV project developer O2 Energies has selected National Renewable Energy Corp. (NARENCO), a Charlotte, N.C.-based engineering, procurement and construction contractor, to construct the 4.5 MW Ararat Rock solar farm near Mount Airy, N.C.

O2 Energies is the developer, owner and operator of the project. The company recently built the 1.2 MW Mayberry solar farm nearby. Both projects will supply electricity through the Duke Energy distribution grid.
