NEWS DEPARTMENTS

To submit announcements for consideration in any of the news departments described below, email a press release to Jessica Lillian at jlillian@solarindustrymag.com.

Word documents, PDF files, and announcements directly in an email are all acceptable. Due to the volume of news received, only selected items will be published. Individual confirmation of receipt or publication cannot be provided.

• Projects and Contracts:
  Provides details of new and planned solar energy installations.
  Submit: Project details (including location, output and companies involved) and a link to the company's website. High-resolution project photos and renderings are optional.


• Products and Technology:
  Announces new solar energy products, as well as new products and equipment that support solar manufacturing.
  Submit: Product details and a link to the company's website. High-resolution product photos are optional.


• People:
  Reports personnel moves of interest to solar energy industry professionals.
  Submit: Brief announcement. High-resolution photos of the person(s) involved are optional.


• FYI:
  Provides news about companies in - or doing business with - the solar energy industry.
  Submit: Company news (announcements of new partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, new divisions, corporate name changes, etc.) and a link to the company's website.


• Calendar:
  Lists events of interest to people involved in the solar energy industry.
  Submit: Event news, including event name, dates, location, sponsor and relevant website.


• New and Noteworthy:
  Features news and analysis of trends affecting the solar energy market.
  Submit: Industry news and analysis.

FEATURE ARTICLES

Solar Industry generally publishes two types of timely articles:

• Features that examine and analyze solar energy industry trends; and
• Features that give our readership of industry professionals information about how to improve their operations.

These features are written by professional industry staff and contract journalists, and also by industry experts. All feature articles must be exclusives to Solar Industry.

Industry experts are invited to contact the editor with their ideas for bylined articles. Generally, these articles are 1,500 to 2,000 words in length and address the topic generically, without mentioning the author's company. However, a prominently displayed editor's note describes the author and company, and the author's photo is published when available. Charts, tables and photographs are also welcome to illustrate these articles.

Optionally, contributors can propose an article to match a scheduled topic listed on the editorial calendar. Contributors can also write about these listed topics at any other time, and articles addressing other relevant industry issues are also welcome.
